Client: Autotrader (personal project)

Project Role: Art Director / Designer

This is a personal project that i did as a proof of concept. The idea is simple, what would I come up with in a real world situation if I were tasked with redesigning the Auto Trader website? I used the following criteria as my creative brief:
Use the existing site as a basis and focus on enhancing the established Auto Trader online brand. (evolution not revolution)
Redesign the user critical path to get the user to search results in the fewest possible clicks.
Refocus main navigation and set it to be consistent on every page.
Reorganize layout and establish a grid system.
Establish information hierarchy, putting the search as the main focus.
Carve out prominent space for advertising.

On the results page I used the followig criteria:
Tighten up and reorganize "Search Results" information and secondary user features.
Establish advertising space down right side of page.
Establish a grid layout.
Harmonize color palette.
Tighten up layout in individual search results and segment information into easy to read sections.

The following 4 designs are for domain parking pages, more commonly known as a "landers". These are page template designs that are engineered to be used with a portfolio of related domain names that are currently not developed. The idea behind the designs are twofold. One, capture users attention and convert them by having them click through paid keyword referrals. The secondary objective is to increase the monetary value of the domains that are attached to the templates by increasing each respective domains page visits and traffic numbers.
